Got No Game with Paul Mecurio
HBO Sports new web series, Got No Game with Paul Mecurio tackles the world of sports with a comical look at the compelling stories and outrageous events away from the field. With exclusive access that only HBO can provide, Emmy and Peabody Award-winning comedian Paul Mecurio satirizes sports today through original sketches and one-on-one interviews.
Got No Game officially launched today, Friday, July 31 with two episodes now live. In the first episode, Paul goes one-on-one with Ring Announcer Michael Buffer and tries to bend Buffer to his will by working on variations of that famous catch phrase... and you've never heard Buffer quite like this. In the second episode, Paul goes behind-the-scenes at a big fight weekend in Las Vegas and mixes with the people who are the real backbone of the boxing world.
New episodes of Got No Game with Paul Mecurio will post each Friday through September 4. The show is also available for download and view on iTunes and YouTube. Visit www.hbo.com/gotnogameand watch today!

Check it out, I'm a football ref! Who would have thought that I could go from a Wall Street lawyer to comedian to referee?

Just got back from Canada where I performed at the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. Julian Hall, a reporter from The Independent in London, had a chance to check out my show. He wrote: "... former banker-turned Daily Show writer Paul
Mecurio ... had the nice device of planting questions in the audience at the
end of his set to get a nice twist on audience participation." Tis' true. I love interacting with fans. You are all my prime targets! Check out Hall's review of many Festival events on the Independent here: http://www.independent.co.uk
I'm performing at the "Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival" this week. It's in Montreal which I believe is in Canada. I am double checking on that. I've done the festival before and it's a lot of fun. The crowds are really into it and make you feel welcome - which is weird comingfrom NYC. After a few days of Canadian hospitality I get home sick for NYC so I ask someone up there to give me the finger. Can't wait for the cavity search at the border!
Don't be stressed, New Jersey fans. I know you haven't seen me in awhile, but fear not, I'll be back in NJ performing at the The Stress Factory all weekend long from July 16 - 18. I'm doing five shows over the weekend, so be sure to come out and catch at least one of those performances. It is going to be wild, I promise.
In July, I'm going to be heading to Canada for Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival, the world's largest and most prestigious comedy event. The Festival runs from July 3-26 --- stay tuned for details on when and where I will perform during the fest! Visit www.hahaha.com/en for more information on the Festival.
I was on Morning Meeting on MSNBC with Toure in early July talking
about what else ... Michael Jackson. The
discussion centered on Neverland Ranch versus Graceland. Comparing the
legacy of Elvis and MJ.
I just got back from my West Coast tour. I had shows at both the
Sacramento and San Francisco
Punch Lines. Had a great time. Sacramento is a nice town --- great
weather
and the people were really nice. I wanted to visit Governor
Arnold --- after all Sacramento is the state capitol, but I didn't have
a
car and with all his budget cuts, there were no buses running...
Sacramento's mass transit system is now just two guys with Vespas,
giving rides for $25 a pop. The wait to get a ride was 6 days. So no
Arnold for me. All in all, it was a cool week.

you thought. - Paul
The crowd at this show was top notch. In this clip, meet Josh. He needs a job. He's a high school graduate, and an artist... hopefully he gets that job at Subway. Next up is my man Tony. He's a corrections officer, and I'm a little scared. Also, spotted Predator, who is hiding out in California and loves comedy shows, and Frank the truck driver.
In this clip, meet a young couple, a bunch of gay army men, my buddy Jerry, Chief Porn Mustache and more.
